Women of Services Ministry

Women of Service

Purpose:  To be Godly examples with our lifestyles by serving our community with the gifts, talents and abilities given to us by God.

Scriptures:  I Timothy 2:9,10 - 9Also [I desire] that women should adorn themselves modestly and appropriately and sensibly in seemly apparel, not with [elaborate] hair arrangement or gold or pearls or expensive clothing,
10But by doing good deeds (deeds in themselves good and for the good and advantage of those contacted by them), as befits women who profess reverential fear for and devotion to God.

Titus 2:3-5 3Bid the older women similarly to be reverent and devout in their deportment as becomes those engaged in sacred service, not slanderers or slaves to drink. They are to give good counsel and be teachers of what is right and noble,
4So that they will wisely train the young women to be [a]sane and sober of mind (temperate, disciplined) and to love their husbands and their children,
5To be self-controlled, chaste, homemakers, good-natured (kindhearted), adapting and subordinating themselves to their husbands, that the word of God may not be exposed to reproach (blasphemed or discredited).

Goals
To serve and inform women by providing spiritual insight so they may know who they are in Christ and grow up to be mature in their relationship with Christ.

To minister to the physical and social needs by providing sessions such as: pampering, skin care classes, dress for success classes, hair care, home makers classes, etc.

To mentor younger women and girls in the faith that they may properly mature in every area of life and become productive women of God.

Serve women in local community organizations such as:
Nursing homes, homeless shelters for women and children, city and county jail, cookies for inmates, care packets, provide hair care and skin care sessions, etc. for inmates.
